The FAQ lists certain white undergarments and socks, thermal underwear, up to 10 photos no larger than 4x6 with no nudity, alcohol, or gang signs, two paperback books or magazines with no sexual content and no puzzle, word-find, or coloring books, playing cards, pinochle decks, a wedding band with no stones, loose leaf paper, metered stamped envelopes only, a softback Bible, and a money order if mailed. Items generally must be mailed rather than brought to the jail, except cash or money order brought for account posting.

Commissary includes edible items, tobacco products, cooking containers, hygiene products, and writing materials. Commissary is a privilege and may be revoked. Indigent packets include two metered envelopes, two sheets of paper, a pencil, toothpaste, shampoo, and three soap bars. Orders must be turned in no later than 9:00 a.m. to receive items that day. Business hours are Monday for indigent and weekly Swanson orders only, Tuesday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for daily commissary, and closed weekends and holidays. ADSEG commissary is limited to pencil, paper, metered envelopes, and hygiene products.

Medications may be sent or dropped off only if unopened, current, and valid for the prisoner, and narcotic prescriptions are not honored unless approved by the jail's on-site physician.
